Welcome
The Napa Valley has discovered sustainability and this website is intended to help further that discovery. But it’s also about community; ideas, activities, places and people that can bring us together, give us a sense of belonging, and retain–or create–a healthy environment. And by healthy we mean physically, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and culturally. And festive and fun.
Its purpose is to provide information on people, events, organizations, benefits, projects and activities throughout the Napa Valley. And, while the focus is on our valley-wide community, we’ll also provide useful information from outside the valley.
But providing information is just one thing–and we hope you’ll be providing a lot of the information yourself. More importantly, we hope it’ll be an online meeting place for people to exchange tips and other information, to plan projects, to offer and find jobs, and to remind us all that we’re all into this together.
Village Napa was founded by Mick Winter, author of Sustainable Living for Home, Neighborhood and Community, and of Peak Oil Prep: Prepare for Peak Oil, Climate Change and Economic Collapse (pub. 2006).
Mick is also the author of The Napa Valley Book.
